We would like to provide an update on our quality control processes for the Integra DC2 quarter glass panels. We encountered challenges with the glass and rubber molding not adhering properly, resulting in separation, as depicted in the attached photo.
To address this issue, we conducted extensive tests with various types of adhesive to determine the most effective solution. This thorough testing process spanned several days. Unfortunately, we identified the problem after shipping one set to a customer in Taiwan. The pressure in the cargo airfreight caused the components to separate. Subsequently, we dedicated additional time to ensure the molding achieved the necessary stiffness to prevent such occurrences.
Another issue arose with the corner piece protruding, a common complaint with older DC2 Integras, where it tended to pop out, as illustrated in the provided photo.
To rectify this, we modified the mold to ensure a more flush fit towards the body panel. Alternatively, a highly skilled glass and molding mechanic can also achieve this fit. We advise having a professional handle the installation for optimal results. We also kept the panel outside to test for water leakage and etc.
Currently, we are gradually shipping out orders. Please note that our production time has been extended as we meticulously verify these critical points and conduct tests on all panels along the cut-out quarter panel to ensure their quality.
We appreciate your patience throughout this process and assure you that we are working diligently to dispatch your orders as soon as possible.
