Description
It is often recommended to upgrade the original NSX stabilizer bar to either the 2002+, Type-S, or Type-R rear stabilizer bar. The reason for upgrading the stabilizer bar is to reduce body roll and increase cornering performance of the NSX.
Installing improved stabilizer bars, such as those found in the NSX-R, in a standard NSX can help to improve the car’s handling and performance. Stabilizer bars, also known as sway bars, are used to reduce body roll and improve the car’s ability to corner at high speeds. The improved stabilizer bars found in the NSX-R are thicker than the original standard stabilizer bar, which allows for a more precise and responsive handling. Additionally, the improved stabilizer bars can help to reduce the amount of understeer or oversteer, which can make the car more predictable and easier to control.
One misconception many NSX owners have is that the NSX-R rear stabilizer bar is different from the standard 2002-2005; though it is the same.
